Goshen Sarah Wells Girl Scouts Receive Accolades from Mayor

On the 100th Anniversary of Girl Scouts, March 12, 2012, the Goshen Sarah Wells Girl Scouts were treated to an evening of honor by Goshen Village Mayor, Kyle Roddey.

Local Brownie Troop 103 wrote a letter to the Mayor asking if he would declare March 12 Girl Scout Day in Goshen. The Mayor generously responded by inviting every Girl Scout in Goshen to attend a special meeting at the Senior Center where he handed out Certificates of Achievement to the Troops and letters of thanks to each ...

Goshen Sarah Wells Service Unit wins trophy!

The Goshen Sarah Wells Service Unit won a trophy at the Mid-Hudson St. Patrick's Day parade for Best Youth Group Unit for looking absolutely spectacular!  Our troops had creative banners and the girls all had proud, happy faces.  The parade judges were very impressed with how our girls presented themselves.  Way to go, girls!

Service Unit Name Change

A year and a half after our original proposal our Service Unit has finally received Board approval for our name change.  As of October 1, 2011 our Service Unit will be offically known as the Goshen/Sarah Wells Service Unit. Thanks so very much to everyone for their continued support in this effort.

Sarah Wells was around long before Juliette Low but I'm sure if they had ever had a chance to meet they would have accomplished unfathomable things together!
